Roxanne Willis received an A.B., summa cum laude, in Anthropology from Harvard University; earned a Ph.D. in American Studies from Yale University; and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Harvard University Center for the Environment. In addition to her higher education experience, Roxanne has worked in public relations, for nonprofits, in mental health, and as a popular freelance writer. Given this wide-ranging background, she is familiar with the many voices and vocabularies that authors need to keep the attention of their respective audiences. 

Roxanne is an award-winning author, having researched and written Alaska’s Place in the West, published by the University Press of Kansas, as well as numerous articles, book reviews, encyclopedia entries, and blog posts. Roxanne has written and edited numerous manuscripts (scholarly papers, academic books, and popular nonfiction), as well as memoirs, short fiction pieces, blog posts, and web content. She is especially talented at translating technical jargon into clear prose, which will target the largest possible audience for your writing. Roxanne lives and works near Chicago, Illinois.
